Nandu Jubany, new member of Chocovic’s Ambassadors’ team
The ambassador’s team from the brand Chocovic is known for its creative spirit, its excitement, its talent, and its passion... ¡for chocolate! Now, a new amazing professional chef has become a member of this high-level team, Nandu Jubany.
With only 18 years old, Nandu Jubany joined the Urbisol, the family restaurant, as head chef. In 1995, after working in the kitchens of some of the greatest professionals like J. Mari Arzak, M. Berasategui or C. Gaig he opened along with his wife Anne Orte, Can Jubany, turning a cozy country house with traditional architecture into a gastronomic model that would receive its first Michelin star only 3 years later.
In 2001, he started an expansion period with the opening of some other spaces of high gastronomic level such as the Mas d’Osor in Viladrau, the Serrat del Figaró in Taradell, the Petit Comité in Barcelona or the FOC in Singapore.
The Chocovic’s Ambassadors’ team is composed of leading figures in Pastry making such as:
Christian Escribà, with his historic Pastry making and his always mediatic ideas.
Sergi Vela, pastry teacher at the INS Escuela de Hostelería y Turismo de Barcelona and member of the 21ºBrix Collective, which is well known for its innovative and very technical sweet creations.
Lluís Costa, second generation at the Pastelería Vallflorida and recent winner of the Mejor Pasta de Té (Best Tea Pastry) 2018, Mejor Croissant de España (Spain’s Best Croissant) in 2015 and Mejor Joven Artesano Alimentario Innovador (Best Young Innovative Alimentary Artisan) 2012 in Catalonia, and is also a member of the 21ºBrix Collective.
Raúl Bernal is also a member of the Chocovic team, after 5 years of being Pastry Chef for the brand as well as part of the team of the Chocolate Academy. These past years, this young pastry chef, and member of the 21ºBrix Collective, has been the protagonist of a creative explosion in the world of chocolate figures, particularly Easter ones.
Rafa Delgado, Mejor Pastelero de Restaurante (Best Restaurant Pastry Chef) 2007, with a long history in restaurants like Via Veneto, Alkimia and Can Jubany, is also a member of the team. His creations answer the need for conveying emotions through flavours, textures and aesthetic.
Enric Monzonís, Chocovic Chef and teacher at the Chocolate Academy Barcelona, he is a chef with a lot of experience in high-level patisseries such as Pastisseria Dolç or Pastelería Hoffman. He was also the head pastry chef at the Tickets restaurant in Barcelona.
