Shanghai Hosts the Annual Seminar for Gourmet Brands 2018


Just like every year at this time, the first week of July saw the celebration of the international seminar of pastry chefs for the gourmet brands Chocovic, Cacao Barry, Callebaut and Carma, with the participation of their respective technical consultants. This year, the location for the annual meeting was the Chinese city of Shanghai, selected because of the recent opening of the new Chocolate AcademyTM Shanghai.

The numerous training and leisure activities in the seminar program included an interesting workshop on techniques and flavors from Chinese cuisine that can be applied to pastry-making, as well as a presentation by Ramon Morató dedicated to mousses, demonstrating and analyzing different types and uses of this preparation. Pure inspiration.

According to Enric Monzonis, technical consultant for Chocovic, “the seminar was an excellent opportunity to create synergies with other pastry chefs in the group, to share best practices and broaden our knowledge with some of the best professionals in pastry-making”.

And then came the cherry on top... During the seminar, the Chocolate AcademyTM Bcn won the Best Social Media Performance 2017/2018 Award for the excellent management of their social networks. Congratulations to our colleagues at the academy! Without a doubt, they deserve a “follow”.
